Chartered Banker Institute achieves two ISO certifications
The Chartered Banker Institute is proud to announce the achievement of two ISO certifications.
ISO 27001 is the leading international standard focused on information security. ISO 27001 is a statement of security, demonstrating the utmost care of businesses of corporate information, data and processes. To achieve the ISO 27001 certification, the Chartered Banker Institute had to demonstrate a systematic and documented approach to protecting and managing sensitive information.
ISO 9001 is the leading international standard focused on quality management systems. ISO 9001 has been adopted by over 1 million organisations across the world and is used by businesses to continually monitor, manage and improve the quality of their products and services. To achieve certification, the Institute had to demonstrate its adherence to quality management principles, including having a strong customer focus, involvement of high-level company management, an outlined process-based approach, and ongoing improvement of the aforementioned approach.
Chartered Banker Institute CEO, Simon Thompson said:
“It is a proud achievement for the Institute to achieve certification for both ISO 27001 and ISO 9001, demonstrating our commitment to high standards of information security and quality management. These will benefit our members and partners worldwide, and provide a secure platform for the Institute to continue to grow to support banks and bankers globally.”
